Hi! Welcome to my page on the Custer Family Farm website. My name is Dave Custer and I am 15 years old. I am the family blacksmith and the name of my shop is the "Fiery Furnace Forge" or the "Triple F Blacksmith Company."

I have been working steel for a little over a year and I now offer a variety of quality household, shop, & farm items. My smithy is a completely traditional set-up, consisting of a hand crank blower (120-plus years old,) a forge (a large pan/fire pot that holds the fire along with extra coal - also over 100 years old,) a vice, anvil, hammer, coal, and, of course, strength and sweat. Please remember that all hand-made items will vary slightly although I do try to make all products similar. Also, do not feel confined to my designs; email me if you would like to combine certain elements into one item for your ultimate satisfaction! (example: Add a leaf, a twist, or both to a standard hook.) Special orders will require additional time and will incur a small extra charge.

Other than blacksmithing, I enjoy Civil War reenacting, teaching at living history demonstrations, and researching weaponry dating from the 1700's...but more on that later!
